TUNICA, Miss. – January 21, 2014 - Mike Bullard bested 35 local media professionals to take home the title of 2014 World Series of Poker Circuit Event Tunica Media Tournament Champion Sunday night at Harrah’s Tunica. As the tournament champion Bullard was able to designate a charity to receive a $1,000 donation. Bullard chose Sacred Heart Southern Missions to receive the $1,000 donation. Bullard owns MemphiSport, a media company that reports on Memphis area sports news.
With this win MemphiSport and the Bullard household boast two WSOPC Tunica Media Tournament wins. Bullard’s wife, Kim, took home the trophy last year and chose to donate the $1,000 to the Memphis Union Mission.
“Kim said she didn’t expect to get very far in the tournament this year. I told her I always visualize myself at the final table - you have to if you want to win,” said Bullard. “I am pleased and excited to donate $1,000 to Sacred Heart Southern Missions this year as WSOP Media Champion.”
